Stagliano Arraigned on Obscenity Charges, Pleads Not Guilty
By admin • Apr 21st, 2008 • Category: Lead StoryJohn Stagliano, award-winning director and owner of Evil Angel, was arraigned in federal court this morning in the District of Columbia. Stagliano and Evil Angel were indicted on several obscenity charges on April 8.
Stagliano was fingerprinted at the FBI field house in Washington prior to heading to court. He entered a plea of not guilty on all charges and was released on his own recognizance. Following the arraignment, a small press conference was held outside where both Stagliano and his attorney made brief statements.
A status hearing in the case is scheduled for June 12.
Stagliano and Evil Angel have started DefendOurPorn.org in response to the indictments.
